The Honda VFR800 on promotion this January 2013

The Honda brand continues with its promotions for 2013, and specifically today we are going to talk about one of its most interesting models. Setting aside its scooter range, today we are going to discover the VFR800 and VFR800 STD, both models with an attractive promotion that will leave you speechless.

Honda has set out to revitalise the two-wheeler sector, and to that end it has created several promotions running until 31 January 2013, in principle, so you don’t have much time to think. It’s time to decide, and this option is truly one of the most interesting: it’s time to enjoy the experience of riding a V4 at an incredible price.

We are looking at a model with an exclusive V4-VTEC engine, HECS3 catalytic converter system, a light and rigid chassis, a deluxe version of ABS and powerful multi-reflector headlights as its main features. Although these are not the only ones, since this VFR800 is a real marvel from the golden-wing brand.

A machine with a 90º V4-type engine, 4-stroke, 16 valves, DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft in Cylinder Head) and liquid cooling. Its displacement is 782 cm³, while the maximum power is 80 kW (107.3 CV) / 10,500 min-1 (95/1/EC), and the maximum torque is 80 Nm / 8,750 min-1 (95/1/EC). Fuel delivery is by PGM-FI electronic fuel injection; the air filter is oil-impregnated, paper cartridge type, and the fuel capacity is 22 litres.

The starter is electric, with a battery capacity of 12 V / 10 AH. The clutch is wet, multi-plate with helical springs, and the transmission is 6-speed. The kerb weight is 244 kg (front: 117 kg; rear: 127 kg). The front suspension is a 41 mm telescopic fork, HMAS cartridge type, with spring preload adjustment without positions, and 108 mm of axle travel. The rear is Pro-Link with HMAS gas shock absorber, adjustable in 7 spring preload positions and in rebound without positions, with 120 mm of axle travel.

The brakes are two 296 x 4.5 mm floating discs with 3-piston combined calipers (*ABS) and sintered metal pads at the front, while the rear is a 256 x 6 mm disc with a 3-piston combined caliper (*ABS) and sintered metal pads.
