MV Agusta F3 Serie Oro
The first images of the MV Agusta F3 Serie Oro have appeared. This new version of the MV Agusta F3 takes the exclusivity of the motorcycle one step further.
Only 200 units will be manufactured of this motorcycle, all of them made to order, and it turns the standard version into a bike that costs more than double, at around 11,800 euros, since its price rises to 24,900 euros. The price change truly seems crazy, and perhaps our minds could be led astray when looking at the photographs.
Looking at the F3, we might think, when seeing those golden parts, that the price increase comes from the use of magnesium, a very expensive material used for its lightness. We would then assume that the wheels, swingarm and part of the chassis are made of this material, but that is a mistake. MV wanted to play a little with this and has already stated that these are aluminium parts painted gold.
So why does the price rise so much? For several reasons. This version uses top-of-the-range Öhlins shock absorbers for both the front fork and the rear shock, the braking system has also been changed and Brembo radial monobloc calipers have been fitted, and to top it off many parts have been covered in carbon fibre, for example the chain guard or the exhaust pipes. On top of all this, a leather and Alcantara seat adds a sophisticated touch, along with many gold finishes.
As we can see, the exhausts have a completely different configuration from the F4, its bigger sister, as they exit from the side instead of beneath the seat.
As for the engine, which is shared with the F3, it is 675 cc with a three-cylinder configuration and produces 137 hp, only three less than the Ducati 848 Evo. As the Italian factory assures, this is the most compact, short and narrow engine that engineering has ever achieved.
Besides all this, its counter-rotating crankshaft stands out, which very effectively reduces inertia to favour changes of direction and weight distribution.
It is also at the cutting edge of electronics, combined with an engine management system and a Ride By Wire throttle. It is a motorcycle with characteristics perfectly suited to the Supersport World Championship.
The F3 Serie Oro will appear at the end of this year, and all those who are able to enjoy one will be able to adjust it to their liking, not only the suspension but also the seat heights, footpeg positions, rear brake feel and even gear changes can be modified.
