Now arrives the PIAGGIO MP3 500, with greater safety thanks to the ABS system and ASR traction control, more comfort for rider and passenger, and ample space with a new style. In addition, all technology points are taken care of to the maximum on board, along with a new high-performance engine with reduced consumption. Remember that this model can be ridden with an ordinary car driving license.

The Piaggio MP3 500 is available in two finishes, Business and Sport, and they have been redesigned and technically improved, with the introduction of new and excellent levels of safety and technology, with better build quality and an exclusive design. The chassis of the Piaggio MP3 has been redesigned with the dual objective of achieving, on the one hand, excellent stability and precision and, on the other, a wider range of use. The new geometry meets these two important requirements, creating the best MP3 that Piaggio has ever built in terms of dynamic quality, and the best standard of safety and comfort for rider and passenger. Ergonomics have also been improved and the use of space under the seat optimized. The restyling includes greater riding comfort. The seat has become sumptuous: flat and comfortable for two people, with a notable improvement over the previous generation of the Piaggio MP3, achieving a more extended and therefore more relaxed leg position.

The Piaggio MP3 is the first three-wheeled vehicle in the world with an integrated ABS braking system and ASR (traction control). The ASR system is an electronic traction control device that regulates wheel slip, which can be easily deactivated, and guarantees safety by preventing rear wheel slip on slippery or wet asphalt and uneven surfaces, for excellent grip of the rear tire in all kinds of conditions. The ABS system maximizes active safety by preventing wheel lock during braking and provides total control of the vehicle at all times.

This is the original project patented by Piaggio, with a roller mechanism comprising four aluminum alloy arms mounted on four hinges with a central sleeve and two side sleeves connected to the arms by pins and ball bearings. Inside the side arms, the right and left steering tube rotates with the classic single-arm movement.

The new Piaggio MP3 has a completely new look, now more modern and elegant, with clear car-like touches and a refined, high-quality, car-style finish. The Style Center of the Piaggio Group has completely redesigned the distinctive features, modernized and even more individualistic. The front shield recalls the original model, but has an entirely new shape.

Since its launch, the Piaggio MP3 has always delivered superior performance with complete safety thanks to its exclusive double front wheel technology with a clear automotive character. A combination of three wheels with a high-performance engine that gives the Piaggio MP3 its sporty character without any disguise, and a markedly fun feel when tackling curves in the city or even on the open road.

The 500 cc engine (robust and reliable) is the highest-performing and a true revolution among half-liter engines. Equipped with four valves, liquid cooling and electronic fuel injection, it is the most powerful in its class, and it is now fitted with the electronic “Ride by Wire” system that improves power delivery and completes the new multimap program, which lets the rider choose between optimal performance and fuel economy by switching the engine map via a button on the handlebar (Std and Eco). Smooth engine running at low revs is another strong point of the new model, thanks to the new single-shaft camshaft system that now uses roller followers and optimizes the combustion cycle to reduce mechanical noise and improve reliability.

The intake duct has been completely redesigned to improve the air/fuel ratio, optimizing its coefficient and with improved torque at low revs, which guarantees great smoothness and noticeably reduces fuel consumption. The exhaust system has been completely revised to reduce noise and make it much more harmonious. The new configuration of the CVT gearbox also helps reduce fuel consumption and mechanical noise, ensuring smoother starts through a more gradual clutch.
