The Motocross World Championship lands in the Czech Republic this weekend
This weekend sees the 12th round of the MX1 and MX2 Motocross World Championship in Loket, Czech Republic.
This weekend the Motocross World Championship visits the Czech Republic for the twelfth event of the 2012 season, coming after the motos held in Russia, and with riders eager to see the best in the discipline opening up the throttle again on an interesting track.
For this MX1 World Championship round we have a clear favourite, the current championship leader, Antonio Cairoli. He arrives fired up after a brilliant Grand Prix in Russia, following some difficult moments in previous rounds, but he has recovered and wants more. For now he is the clear leader, arriving with 442 points, while his closest rival is Clement Desalle with 422 points, so just 20 points separate them.
In the MX1 top 5 we have Pourcel with 393 points, followed by Paulin with 376 points, and closing the top five is De Dycker with 341 points. As for our main representative, Jonathan Barragán is currently 13th with 175 points, but step by step he is improving and getting results, so keep it up 7.
The MX2 category also has a clear favourite, Jeffrey Herlings with 478 points, 49 points fewer than the leader; in third place we have Van Horebeek with 417 points, and closing the top five are Roelants in 4th with 344 points and Tixier in 5th with 309 points.
As for our representative, José Antonio Butrón has been one of the revelations of the season, with 218 points and in 8th place overall, so keep it up 17.
Now comes the Czech Republic round, in Loket, let’s go.
