The KTM 390 Duke completes the family
The new KTM 390 Duke arrives to complete the family, and undoubtedly one of the most anticipated, as it is the small one with spectacular performance, so take a look at this model from the orange brand and you won't be able to stop looking at it.
The KTM brand unveiled this year one of its most successful models, fully redesigned, it is the new 390 Duke, a machine reduced to the maximum but with the qualities of the rest of the bikes in the range.
So the last Duke still missing from the market is already here, with a single-cylinder, four-stroke engine and liquid cooling, with permanent circulation of the coolant via a water pump. A machine with a displacement of 373.2cc, with a maximum power of 44hp (32kW).
In terms of starting, it has an electric starter assist system, while for ignition there is an interesting electronically controlled contactless system with digital ignition timing. Gear shifting is done through a six-speed dog clutch, lubrication is by pressure feed with a closed circuit and a rotor pump, and the clutch is oil-bath with mechanical actuation.
For the chassis, they have opted for a tubular frame made of steel tubes with powder coating, with a steering head angle of 65º, the front suspension is a WP Suspension Up Side Down with 150mm of travel, while the rear is a WP Suspension Monoshock with 150mm of travel. The brakes, meanwhile, are a front disc with a four-piston brake caliper and a 300mm diameter, while the rear is a disc with a single-piston caliper, a floating-mount disc and a 230mm diameter.
The fuel tank capacity is approximately 11 litres, while its weight is 139 kg, so we are looking at an easy-to-handle and maneuver motorcycle, not very heavy compared to the rest of the bikes in the range, and better than many of its rivals and even some of higher displacement, considering the value-for-need offer. It is also a very interesting alternative to scooters and maxi-scooters.
The 390 Duke, the definitive one from KTM, has arrived.
