Stoner in doubt for MotoGP Brno, to be tested on Friday
Rider Casey Stoner's participation in the Czech Republic Grand Prix is up in the air; everything will depend on how he feels this Friday during the MotoGP practice.
Rider Casey Stoner arrives at the Czech Republic Grand Prix quite battered. Undoubtedly, the short gap between the Indy and Brno rounds has not helped him recover, and the other day the MotoGP World Championship rider showed the current state of his ankle on the social network Twitter.
Riders are undoubtedly made of different stuff, but it is true that that ankle looked too bad to compete, although given what we saw at the US round, you can expect anything from the Repsol man Honda. Still, he has said that he will not decide what to do until he gets on the bike on Friday.

Indy is behind him, but Brno will bring more problems, as it is a circuit with mainly right-hand corners, and all the weight and effort will fall on Stoner’s injured ankle. Although what he will do is not yet decided, the rider has chosen to test on Friday to see his condition after a week of rest.
Casey Stoner’s statements:
I don’t feel very optimistic about Brno after the tough weekend in Indy. The crash in qualifying last week left me with a serious problem in my ankle. We were lucky that Indy was a left-hand circuit, so I could unload a lot of weight from my right ankle. Even so, I was in a lot of pain during direction changes.
In Brno there are many more right-hand corners, so much more weight will fall on that ankle and it’s going to be very difficult. It’s a shame, because Brno is a track I enjoy, since it’s fast and flowing. For now I will rest as much as possible this week, and we’ll see how I feel on Friday when I get on the bike.
What do you think he will do?
Honestly, after seeing what happened in Indy, I think he will take part, although if he has another setback he could take the opposite decision, or if the doctors see some further complication.
