The Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships have held post-race tests at the Mugello Circuit, so after the sixth round of the 2016 season both categories had the opportunity to head out onto the Italian track to work on their respective machines and arrive at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya stronger.

Although the weather conditions were not the best during the first official test for these two categories, we were able to see some action, though it was affected by these conditions. Several Moto2 and Moto3 riders even decided to pack up before the end of the day, among them Sam Lowes and the QMMF Racing team.

Luckily, little by little the track improved, allowing teams and riders to test materials and innovations for the next round. Among them, the Dynavolt Intact GP team tested a stiffer rear swingarm together with new front forks. Forward Team also took advantage of the day to test a new Öhlins suspension.

Meanwhile, in Moto3, the riders of the SKY Racing Team VR46 were among the few to head out onto the track, especially Fenati and Migno, although Bulega crashed while trying to ride in the wet. Riders from the Drive M7 SIC Racing team also went out in the morning, and in this case it was Kornfeil who crashed. When the track began to dry, more riders appeared, and the Aspar Mahindra Team Moto3 took the opportunity to test a new gearbox.

As the afternoon approached, the wind made its presence felt, so many riders ended their work, waiting for the seventh round of the season.
