Marc Márquez on his blog: "Back!"
Last Monday, rider Marc Márquez wrote on his personal Repsol blog, where he explained his feelings after getting back on his Moto2 at the Albacete Circuit, after so many months without doing so.
Rider Marc Márquez wrote last Monday on his personal Repsol blog, where he made his opening phrase very clear “Back!”. There’s no doubt it hasn’t been a good period for the 93 since his crash at the Sepang circuit; that eye injury has kept him out of all training sessions until now, but a week ago, at last, the CatalunyaCaixa Repsol rider got back on his Suter.
That moment was one of the most anticipated by all of his fans, the runner-up of the Moto2 world championship, since after so many doubts it was confirmed that he was ready to get on his machine for 2012 and start giving it gas from the IRTA test in Jerez, although it hasn’t been an easy road for him and his team.
Last Thursday and Friday in Albacete I had a great time again. I had been waiting a long time to set foot on a speedway circuit, to put on my suit and experience riding the Moto2 alongside my team.
It has been tough, but the Catalan’s feelings about his bike have been good, and that’s what matters: the eye condition is behind him, or at least the improvement is already almost 100%, so we’ll see him at the last official training session for the intermediate class before the season starts in Qatar.
It has been a long wait, but it was worth it! You appreciate even more what you don’t have, and I just hope it gives me strength for the future. The team was as always, with the same smile, and that makes you feel even more at ease.
The training session was quite positive. The weather was very good, so we were able to ride both days. I hadn’t set foot on the Albacete circuit since my days in the CEV, which was a little while ago.
Before heading to Jerez next Sunday to start the test on Monday, Márquez has continued working as he has until now, mostly in Cervera, because you can’t stop for a single second if you want to be ready for 2012.
Now it’s time to train in Cervera to be on point for the IRTA sessions in Jerez. Not much time left, but I can’t wait much longer. I’m really eager to compete again with the rest of the riders!
We are glad he’s back.
