Dani Pedrosa wins MotoGP Brno after a thrilling race with Lorenzo
Rider Dani Pedrosa has won the MotoGP World Championship at the Brno Circuit, after an intense battle with Jorge Lorenzo; both have shown why they are the best.
Rider Dani Pedrosa has secured a spectacular victory at the Brno Circuit, in a thrilling MotoGP World Championship race with two protagonists, Jorge Lorenzo and the 26, undoubtedly the most in-form riders in the entire championship, and they have once again proven it at the Czech Republic Grand Prix.
The race start was very good for Jorge Lorenzo, who maintained his position, with Dani Pedrosa glued to his rear wheel and Cal Crutchlow joining the party behind the factory riders, while Valentino Rossi was the center of attention as a strange white smoke came out of his Ducati, with everyone thinking the Italian had blown his engine. In the end nothing happened and he was able to continue in the race, so it was a scare but without consequences. For his part, Ben Spies had a scare and an unhappy ending: the 11 had problems with his Yamaha and was losing positions, but held on until suddenly he went down, so bad luck once again for the American.
For their part, Lorenzo and Pedrosa pulled away from the rest of the riders and fought for the victory over more than 20 laps, in which Lorenzo led during the first part with Pedrosa watching his rival, while in the second part Dani took control with Jorge glued to him and studying the movements of the Catalan. So we arrived at the final lap, a BRUTAL final turn, thrilling, marvelous, goosebump-inducing, a battle between them.
The two Spanish riders showed why they are the best in MotoGP. Both had an intense battle, with a spectacular finish in which Lorenzo overtook Pedrosa, but the 26 did not give up; he went side by side, Jorge held him off well but drifted a little, allowing Dani to slip into first position, both pushing to the maximum, with the Repsol rider holding the slipstream.Honda
A historic finish, while Crutchlow squeezed onto the podium for the first time, with Dovizioso 4th, Bradl 5th, Bautista 6th, Rossi 7th, De Puniet 8th, Abraham 9th, Espargaró 10th. A great day for the Frenchman De Puniet, who was the best CRT in 8th place; Espargaró in 10th was not bad either, step by step.
Further back, Elías 11th, Hernández 12th, Edwards 13th, Pirro 14th, Ellison 15th, Pasini 16th and Petrucci 17th. Iván Silva dropped out due to mechanical problems. With this result we now have Pedrosa just 13 points behind the leader, Jorge Lorenzo, while Stoner is 59 points back, so it all seems to come down to two riders, two men, two greats, although nothing is impossible.
A great day in the Czech Republic.
