Quick reply
Álex Márquez operado.
Rider Álex Márquez has confirmed that he has successfully undergone surgery in Madrid following the Motorcycle World Championship Grand Prix held at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia, where, after a strong performance in the last race, he went under the knife on the 73rd day.
It has been confirmed that the operation affected his right collarbone, his left hand and his right shoulder, and focused on removing the osteosynthesis material from the collarbone and left hand, while an arthroscopic bursectomy was also performed on the shoulder.
Everything went very well, and the operation carried out at the Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid was a success. Now he needs to rest and try to recover as quickly as possible so that, if all goes well, he can be at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
The rider himself confirmed on his social media that the operation went well and that his recovery stage is beginning, with the aim of arriving in the best possible condition for the final part of the Motorcycle World Championship. This weekend it was confirmed that Álex Márquez’s replacement in Qatar will be Iker Lecuona, so the young rider will take part in the race at the Losail Circuit.
Get well soon.
