Moto2 CEV

The TSR Moto2 team will not be at the CEV at Motorland Aragón

The TSR Moto2 team has confirmed that it will not be present at the third round of the CEV season due to injuries to its riders, as neither Dani Rivas nor Juan Ramírez has recovered.

Today we received bad news for the TSR team in the Moto2 category of the Spanish Speed Championship, as they will not be present at the third round of the national season at the Motorland Aragón Circuit, all because their two riders are injured and will not be ready for this CEV event, so they will not be on track.

Without a doubt, it is bad news that both Juan Ramírez and Dani Rivas are still injured. Both are working to recover in the best possible way, and surely both the team and the two riders will fight to be at the next round at the Circuit de Catalunya, but we will miss them at Motorland Aragón.

Remember that Ramírez crashed at the Jerez Circuit in the first round of the season and fractured his collarbone, sidelining him ever since, while Dani Rivas suffered a nasty crash at the Navarra Circuit and fractured his talus and fibula. Both are in rehabilitation and recovery, but not ready for the third event of the CEV calendar, and the round at the Circuit de Catalunya on the 7th is also in doubt. We will have to watch how their serious injuries evolve.

For his part, Ramírez will be discharged this same week, but considering the injury and that he has not been able to ride for several months, it is better to take it calmly and arrive strong for Catalunya.

Statements from Dani Rivas:

It was a shame to crash in Navarra because, although we were not fighting for victory, we were one step away from scoring valuable points for the championship. The doctors have told me to rest completely until the next check-up, without putting any weight on my foot at all. Of the two, the more problematic injury is the talus, an area with little blood supply that takes a long time to heal and must be rehabilitated properly so as not to lose mobility.

Statements from Juan Ramírez:

If everything goes well at the medical check-up the day after tomorrow, where I hope to be discharged, I will start training in the gym to strengthen the arm muscles, which have weakened from the enforced rest. Together with the team, we decided not to race at Motorland because my shoulder does not yet feel strong enough, and a bad crash resulting from lack of confidence and pain could break a bone that is still somewhat weak, which would take even longer to recover from in case of a re-fracture. I will train hard to be able to make a strong impression at Montmeló.

Best wishes to everyone.
