Summary of the 69th Milan Show (EICMA) (I)
Let's review the new models presented at the Milan Show, brand by brand, so we can get a better idea of what they have offered us
As we told you a few weeks ago, from November 8 to 13 the 69th edition of the International Motorcycle Show was held in Milan. There, the main brands in the two-wheeled world unveiled their new models for 2012.
From Plusmoto we want to review these new models brand by brand so that if you are thinking of buying a motorcycle soon, you can decide on one of them.
We start with Honda. The brand with the golden wing presented ten new models. Among them, the standout is the Crosstourer, a new touring trail bike that uses the V4 engine from the VFR1200F and, like it, can be equipped with the second-generation DCT gearbox as an option.
The three motorcycles that share the new 700cc engine, Integra, NC700S and NC700X also made their debut. The Integra had already been presented, but the last two had not yet. Both the S and the X share the V-shaped tubular frame platform, with a fuel tank under the seat, so they can store a helmet in the false tank, and of course, the high-efficiency engine and the optional DCT.
The 2012 Goldwing, which is already on sale in the United States, was also unveiled, as was the new and long-awaited CBR1000RR. One of the main stars was the VFR1200F, which changes its war paint and arrives with new software for the DCT system, traction control and improved torque.
There was also room for scooters. The Innova 110 and the Vision 50 and 110. The latter will offer a 16″ rear wheel as an option, as will the 50cc model. In addition, the new 125cc engines that equip the PCX will be part of the Zero Emissions Plan, in the commitment of Honda to being more respectful of the environment.
Nor do they forget about hybrid vehicles, fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen vehicles, in a very clear commitment to producing motorcycles that barely pollute, or that do not pollute at all.
