Statements by Alberto Puig about the Pedrosa-Simoncelli incident
The manager of Dani Pedrosa, Alberto Puig, has never been a man to keep quiet, and after what happened yesterday at Le Mans he could not hold back and said clearly that “this guy should be locked up,” and he hopes measures will be taken.
The indignation over what happened to Dani was plain on his face. He was angry and very upset about the situation. He said the images speak for themselves and that he hopes someone will take action.
Below you can see the statements from Puig:
You have already seen what happened. We cannot say much more. It was a disaster.
I think the images speak for themselves. For some time it has been said that this guy is a danger. I think he is a complete ignoramus. He doesn’t understand anything about what is going on.
I hope his team is aware of what they have, because this guy should be locked up.
I hope the Safety Commission finally does something. (To Simoncelli) he was already warned at Estoril, Lorenzo spoke with him, but it seems he doesn’t listen to anyone.
And this is serious. To begin with, the manoeuvre was wrong because Dani had won the position and he forced it.
A person has fallen and broken a bone. And that is no joke. I think it is very serious.
Puig was very indignant, and rightly so, since after what Pedrosa had already overcome with his left collarbone, now it is the right one’s turn:
Dani has a broken collarbone. Again. He has ruined the season, just like that. It is absolutely outrageous.
Right now the only thing I care about is seeing how Dani is doing and getting him home. This is an absolute disaster. But the problem lies only with this guy. He is an absolute ignoramus.
