Sis de Sis Racing wins the Vall del Tenes 24 Hour Endurance Race

The 33rd edition of the 2012 Vall del Tenes 24 Hours Moped Endurance Race has ended with Sis de Sis Racing as champions, after nearly 500 laps of the circuit and 24 hours on the clock.

The 2012 Vall del Tenes 24 Hours Moped Endurance Race has ended in spectacular fashion, with fierce on-track battles and several changes of leader throughout the event, keeping the tension alive until the very end, with both good and bad luck for different teams.

After nightfall we saw the Vico team fall behind due to a gearbox failure on their Honda, a serious problem that kept them in the pits for over an hour and left them with no chance of victory after having led for much of the race. In the end, the big winners were the Sis de Sis Racing team, made up of riders Bertran, González, Rodes and Solà.

The battle was intense between several teams: Team Circuit MX Yasuni, Sis de Sis Racing, Taller Pelayo (Inno-Mold) and the Honda Vico-Auto WIC Auto. These four teams each led at some point and were the main contenders throughout the race. Some suffered problems while others took advantage of them, and those with the better strategy were able to push hard until the finish in this legendary endurance event.

In the end, Sis de Sis Racing took victory in this 33rd edition, followed by Circuit MX Yasuni and Team Taller Pelayo (Inno-Mold). These three teams made up the podium, all three competing in category 3 (Water). Closing out the top 5 were GCR 41 with Espargaró, López, Rodríguez and Muntaner, and in fifth place Tona Motor Racing with Martínez, Ardid, Jodar and Aguilar.

Almost reaching 500 laps of the track and with 24 hours behind them, the winners , while the fastest lap of the event went to team 17, Vico, who managed a 2:35.995 at the start of the race. They ultimately finished in 14th place after a comeback drive.
