Romano Fenati takes pole for the Moto3 World Championship in Austria
Rider Romano Fenati has secured pole position for the Moto3 World Championship at the Austrian Circuit

The Moto3 World Championship was the first to take to the Austrian Circuit for this second battle for pole position after last weekend, so expectation in the small category is at its peak.
First out were the riders who had not managed to place themselves among the best combined practice times, so these participants had to go out to contest Q1 and fight for the four positions that grant access to Q2, with Rossi, Tatay, Nepa and Toba the best of them.
And the moment of truth had arrived, the fight for Q2, in which we saw Suzuki move to the top in the first minutes, although later we saw how, with 9 minutes left in the session, he went down onto the track together with Rodrigo.
With 5 minutes left in the session Acosta made his move and moved into 2nd, but Suzuki still remained the fastest, while we watched the Japanese rider being taken to the medical centre.
Finally, pole for Romano Fenati with a time of 1:35.850, so the Italian will start first on the grid, followed by Suzuki, who has been declared fit after passing through the medical centre following the crash. The top 10 is completed by Alcoba, Masia, Oncu, Sasaki, Acosta, Rodri, Foggia and Nepa.
On to the race.
