Pramac Racing: two different stories in Aragón

Pramac Racing riders Loris Capirossi and Randy de Puniet arrive at the Motorland Aragón event with different outlooks, since this will be the first and last time that the 65 sets foot on the Alcañiz track, while for De Puniet it will be another intense battle.

The world championship returns to Spain for the fourteenth round of the MotoGP championship, this time at the Aragón GP, which is at the same time the penultimate race to be held in Europe.

The circuit, designed by the German Hermann Tilke, world famous for designing most of the modern F1 tracks, in collaboration with Pedro Martínez De la Rosa.

Last year the results for Pramac Racing were a tenth and a fourteenth place achieved by Aleix Espargaró and Mika Kallio respectively.

As for Loris Capirossi, this will be the first and last time he visits this circuit, since last year he was unable to attend due to injury.

Loris Capirossi (#65)

At 38 years old and with few races left before retiring, it’s funny to think I’m a rookie. This will be my first time in Aragón, since last year I missed the race.

It’s going to be interesting to get to know another track, but of course I’m at a disadvantage compared with the other riders. I’ll give 100%, as always. I hope to finish my race with a smile.

Randy De Puniet (#14)

I’m still feeling bad after the mistake at Misano. After a good race in Indianapolis, I thought I could do it again in Italy, but something didn’t go right. We must do a good job and try to find the right setup quickly.

I like the track, it’s very complex and technical. I’d like to get a great result.

Fabiano Sterlacchini (Pramac Racing Team Director)

It will be interesting to see how Loris adapts to this circuit. There are many corners and four straights to try to unleash the bike’s power.

On the other hand, Randy has the qualities to achieve a good result.
