The Italian company has presented its new collection of fairings and windscreens for all types of motorcycles, from urban scooters to mid-to-high-end sports bikes. GIVI offers an extensive range of fairings to equip the most popular motorcycles on the market, with the aim of protecting riders from the wind or bad weather.
One of the main arguments for installing a fairing on a motorcycle is the protection it provides to the rider, preventing the impact of dangerous elements such as small stones thrown up by trucks, birds, insects and a long list that every two-wheel enthusiast knows well. But it is not the only advantage, as they also act as an effective barrier against the wind, deflecting it away from our chest or face and improving the motorcycle’s aerodynamics.
GIVI fairings cater equally to enthusiasts of all two-wheeled segments: scooter, trail, sport and naked, thanks to polycarbonate screens in various colours and sizes. Thus, we can find fairings to equip the best-selling scooters and the ones we have already analysed on Plusmoto, such as the Honda SH125i/SH300i, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 maxi-trails, or the BMW R1200GS, nakeds such as the Kawasaki ER6n, and sports bikes the size of the Honda CBR600F or the Kawasaki Z1000.
Let us remember that polycarbonate guarantees maximum impact protection since it is one of the lightest and most resistant plastic materials on the market. Among the new GIVI fairings, a revolutionary windscreen stands out. This is the GIVI Airflow, which allows height adjustment through the installation of an additional “spoiler” that slides along two 12 cm rails, thus allowing it to be adapted to the rider’s height. In addition, its design produces an aerodynamic effect known as ‘Venturi’, which eliminates the turbulence that a conventional fairing might create.
