MotoGP riders for Suzuki and the possibilities
The MotoGP World Championship will soon see the Suzuki in action. The Japanese brand has in principle postponed its return to the championship until 2015, but it has confirmed its comeback, and now the rumours, signings and possible names for those highly coveted factory machines are already starting to surface. We will have to wait to find out the full project.

The return of Suzuki to the MotoGP World Championship is one of the most eagerly awaited pieces of news in recent weeks. Although the announcement of their comeback has been pushed back to the 2015 season of the Championship, speculation about rider names for the Japanese factory bikes has already begun, undoubtedly a good option for many riders who fight day after day for a “pata negra” machine.
On this list there are several riders who are considered the favourites to fill the seats at Suzuki. Specifically, three names have been mentioned with considerable force: Aleix Espargaró, Randy de Puniet and Cal Crutchlow. The Briton has been one of the strongest riders apart from the factory riders of Honda and Yamaha, sometimes even beating them, and this 2013 is proving to be his season and his revolution with the satellite M1.
Crutchlow is going through a “complicated” time in his team, since the gossip places Pol Espargaró on that bike for next season, which would leave the 35 without a seat. That would free him up, and siren calls from Ducati can be heard, but the possibility that he becomes one of the Suzuki riders is not ruled out. He has experience, talent and can contribute a great deal to the arrival of this MotoGP.
The other two names are currently in the same team, the Power Electronics Aspar team: Aleix Espargaró and Randy de Puniet. The Frenchman has a big advantage over the other possibilities, since right now he is one of the Japanese brand’s test riders. He is testing the Suzuki at several circuits and carrying out the first developments, so the 14 is very well placed to secure one of those rides. But nobody should rule out our Espargaró, who has been the great dominator of the CRT runner-up championship and who keeps amazing at the controls of his ART, making things very hard for the satellite machines and the Ducatis too. So our Aleix is a firm candidate to shine on a factory MotoGP.
