MotoGP 2013: Álvaro Bautista, step by step towards the goal
Today we have one of our special features, focusing on Álvaro Bautista. The native of Talavera de la Reina will compete in his second season with the San Carlo Honda team, and will give his all in every race in what promises to be a very intense 2013.
Today we have a special feature on the highly anticipated MotoGP 2013, and we talk about Álvaro Bautista, the rider from Talavera de la Reina starts this season full of enthusiasm and excitement. He knows this could be his year, and judging by what we saw in pre-season, he seems ready to fight with that “second” group in the premier class.
The home rider has had a spectacular career in the World Motorcycle Championship, as well as in the other cups and national championships he took part in previously, being one of the front-runners in both the 125cc and 250cc classes. He fulfilled his dream by winning the 125cc title in 2006, but that was not all: in 2007 and 2009 he was runner-up in the 250cc class.
With the move from 250cc to Moto2, the Talavera de la Reina rider decided to take the big step and jump up to the MotoGP class, where the best riders in the discipline awaited him. He did so with Suzuki, on a bike that had little chance against the Honda, Yamaha and Ducati. That year was also complicated due to injuries.
In 2011 he stayed with Suzuki, although this time on his own, and under difficult conditions, as it was being said that the Japanese brand would not continue in MotoGP, so the development of that machine was almost nil. Despite this, he achieved a fifth-place finish at Silverstone, in a season that was also marked by injuries.
It was in 2012 that his great moment began, with a strong team, a good bike and a good setup. His arrival at San Carlo Honda, with which he has managed to score his first pole position and climb onto the podium, means he is getting closer step by step. In this 2013 he has to be his year; the time has come for Bautista in the MotoGP era.
Watch out for the 19, who arrives with its batteries fully charged and will fight for a top 5 finish in every race. Many goals.
