Moto2: Everyone Going for the 2013 Title

The Moto2 World Championship promises to be one of the most exciting for this 2013 season, in which we will see many of our riders in full action. Without a doubt, the big favorites are from home, and among them the 2012 runner-up is the great bet: Pol Espargaró has a lot of work ahead of him.

Today we bring you the special feature on the Moto2 World Championship. In this category we will have an intense 2013 season, since there are many riders and teams with the chance to achieve good results. Besides, there is always some surprise during the year, so the list of contenders cannot be closed to certain participants.

Among the non-Spanish riders who can cause the most trouble are Sandro Cortese, the Moto3 world champion. The German has adapted very well to his Moto2 and seems set to make waves, though he is not alone in the action: we will also keep a close eye on Thomas Luthi. The Swiss rider, once he returns from his injury, will be in the front positions and is one of the most dangerous.

We must also keep in mind Mika Kallio, the Japanese riders Nakagami and Takahashi, and of course Scott Redding. The Briton has spent several seasons among the frontrunners, and in 2013 he wants to finish the job and break the dominance of our riders.

Although in this category the big favorites are, for now, Spanish, from home, above all the first of them: the 2012 Moto2 runner-up, Pol Espargaró. The number 40 is ready for his great year. He knows this season has to be his, although he also knows it won’t be easy, and that many riders will push him hard; among them his own training teammates Tito Rabat and Axel Pons. The three men of Team Pons have been at the front during these pre-season tests.

moto2 Terol

Terol and Torres are two other home riders who have left a good impression in this pre-season, and who are well prepared to open the throttle with their Suters. The truth is that both have been consistent and steady, so we will see what they can do in real racing. The same goes for Toni Elías, who remains in Moto2 after a rather complicated and difficult past year; he returns with more desire and strength. Another rider ready to return to the front positions is Julián Simón. Our Julito is smiling again and has everything in place to fight at the front.

Many riders in Moto2. Who is your favorite?
