Maikel Melero wins the Night of the Jumps event in Krakow

Rider Maikel Melero remains one of the great references of the FIM Night of the Jumps World Championship, earning another victory at the fourth event of the 2018 season, held in Krakow (Poland).

8,000 spectators gathered at the Tauron Arena to witness the FMX Grand Prix of Poland, where Maikel proved why he is a four-time world champion by achieving the best score in both the final round and the qualifying rounds.

After the great performance and subsequent victory of Luc Akermann at the third event held in Berlin, doubts arose about what Maikel could do to beat the young German rider. These doubts were dispelled last Saturday with a major innovation from Maikel in his run, in which he performed the Flair Superman for the first time in the history of the championship, a trick that also earned him the award for best trick of the night.

It is also true that although Luc put in a very good performance to take second place, he did not perform the double backflip that gave him victory in Berlin. It was a great event in Poland for this discipline, in which the spectators were able to enjoy the best riders.

After the latest great results obtained in Costa Rica and now in Krakow, Maikel has no time to relax, because on April 7 and 8 he will take part in the Freestyle World Cup in Tours (France), where he will again face many of the best riders in the world, such as Tom Pagès and Clinton Moore, among others.
