Lorenzo: "A very nice duel with Dani, the kind the fans love"

Rider Jorge Lorenzo has written on his personal blog at 20minutos.es about the spectacular race last Sunday at the Brno Circuit, where he had a most interesting duel with his biggest rival in MotoGP, Dani Pedrosa.

Both were the protagonists of one of the most interesting, exciting and hard-fought races of recent times in the premier class, undoubtedly demonstrating that right now the Spanish riders are one step ahead of the rest.

Spectacular race in Brno! There was less than a second of difference, and the final lap was a very nice duel with Dani, the kind the fans love.

Lorenzo says it plainly: a “titanic” race, an intensely fierce fight between them, a battle in every corner and with every overtake. But in the end, victory went to Pedrosa. You can’t always win, but both gave their all in one of the best MotoGP races of these years.

It was a titanic race in which there was no kind of strategy; we both gave our all, it was a head-to-head power battle, and in the end the balance tipped in Pedrosa’s favor.

Despite not having achieved victory, the Yamaha rider gives a positive assessment of the Brno event, because he secured second place, which keeps him adding points in the fight for the category title. But now he has to keep working with the bike and get it ready for the next races.

The balance is positive, because we got second place and I remain the championship leader. At this stage it is always better to be ahead than behind.

Let’s see if we can improve the bike to aim for winning the next races.

This end of the MotoGP World Championship is going to be the most beautiful, maximum excitement. There is no margin for error left for any of them.

What remains of the championship is going to be very beautiful for the fan but very stressful for us. There is no margin for error if Dani keeps winning.
