José Luis Martínez and Nil Arcarons win the 3 Hours of Endurance in Ponts
Yesterday the 3 Hours of Endurance of Ponts took place, the first race of the Catalan endurance championship calendar at the El Bosquet track, where the participants had to give their all given the thermal conditions.
The KTM team of Nil Arcarons and José Luis Martínez were the winners, followed by Jaume Betriu and Aitor Santana as the second team, and closing the podium four laps down, Ramón Brucart and Aleix Díaz; out of a total of 46 teams that took the start of the race.
The fastest at the start, in a spectacular Le Mans-style start, were Betriu and Santana, ahead of Martínez and Arcarons, and Brucart and Díaz; but while Martínez was piloting his team’s KTM, he gave it full throttle and managed to overtake the leading team to take the lead.
The results in the various categories were as follows:
- José Luis Martínez and Nil Arcarons in RS1 Senior
- Patricio Tarradas and Pol Molina in RS2 Senior
- Borja Serra and Albert Subiras in RS1 Junior
- Albert Arjonilla and Joan Noguera in RS2 Junior
- Francesc and Josep Lluís Izquierdo in Masters
We will keep an eye on off-road.
