Héctor Barberá: "we have problems at the entry of the corners"

The Pramac team will try to take a few more steps forward with its Ducati to help Héctor move up the world championship standings.

The Pramac team arrives at the second round of the motorcycle world championship in Jerez, but despite it being a track very well known to the rider and, of course, to the team, which has great world championship experience, they have not been able to avoid the typical problems of the weather.

On the Andalusian circuit, the rain and the wind are having a highly significant impact. The best time the Valencian rider has managed to set has been 1:54.581, which has placed him in fifteenth position in the combined times of today’s two training sessions.

Héctor, who has his sights set on finishing ahead of the factory Ducatis, will fight hard with his GP Zero to achieve it. We will have to see how the weather evolves so we can get a better read on where each rider stands. On the other hand, if things continue this way, the races could bring some very big surprises.

Héctor Barberá (#8):

Today I had a difficult training session and I am not at all happy with the result. It is a shame that during the morning the session took place on a track that was still wet, which is why several riders, including me, were not able to find the best setup.

On the other hand, during the afternoon session, the track was completely wet and we had some problems at the entry to the corners, where we struggle to make the bike turn.
We could have had a much more productive day than we did, but we had several problems, particularly with my confidence in the Ducati.

Despite this, I am very optimistic about tomorrow’s qualifying.

Marco Rigamonti (Team Manager of Pramac Racing Team):

We still have some things on the bike that we need to make work, especially in the corners and with the electronic controls.

Tomorrow we will have to make major changes to allow the rider to feel those changes, and we hope for a good result.
