Giugliano poleman in SBK in Russia, with Checa and Salom in the superpole

Rider Davide Giugliano is the SBK poleman in Moscow after a complicated session because of the rain, but seeing how many riders managed to improve their lap times from yesterday, so maximum excitement for the superpole.

Rider Davide Giugliano is the poleman of the World Superbike Championship at the Moscow Circuit after QP2, where the lap time he set yesterday in the first qualifying session gave him that first position in QP with a 1:35.074, so the Italian has seen how his Ducati was in perfect condition and left his teammate behind, although without improving today on the first session’s lap time with a 1:35.924, and all of this due to the rain, one of the protagonists of today in Russia.

Right behind the 34 is Carlos Checa, making it very clear that the Ducatis work well on this circuit, and closing the QP sessions with the second-best lap time set today with 1:35.222, so improving on the time he set yesterday, but unable to get past his teammate in this particular battle between them.

Closing the top 5 are Tom Sykes in 3rd, Max Biaggi in 4th and Sylvain Guintoli in 5th. The Briton rode a 1:35.403, also improving on his lap time from yesterday, and with Biaggi close to his times, separated by just 0.031s, so maximum excitement between Kawasaki and Aprilia. It seems that today neither Laverty nor Biaggi had problems with their machines as happened in session 1.

The top group that will take part in what will be the battle for the superpole is completed by Davies in 6th, Melandri in 7th, Hopkins in 8th, Aoyama in 9th, Laverty in 10th, Zanetti in 11th, Haslam in 12th, Rea in 13th, Salom in 14th, Canepa in 15th and Baz in 16th.

Meanwhile, those left out of the superpole battle in Moscow are Fabrizio in 17th, Camier in 18th, Badovini in 19th, Lundh in 20th and McFadden in 21st. In a little while we will have the superpole fight, maximum excitement in Russia over who will be the first poleman of the World Superbike Championship at this circuit.
