The Girona-based firm updates its benchmark in trials with the launch of the new generation of the Gas Gas TXT Racing E4. The Gas Gas symbol in the world of trials adapts to new times and to the demands of the new Euro 4 environmental regulations, and undergoes substantial internal improvements aimed at achieving excellence in stability, traction and control.
Simplicity in its elements, balance in weight distribution and precision in riding: perfection and success in a discipline as demanding as trials often rest on the sum and smooth operation of all its parts. Adjustments to details and small variations which, in the case of Gas Gas and the new generation TXT Racing E4, bet on redesigning and updating its iconic model to remain the reference bike in the world of trials.
The new Gas Gas TXT Racing E4 receive changes inside, some of them imperceptible to the naked eye, though not to the touch or to the way they behave, now more effective and pleasant. In this way, focusing on parts that sometimes go more unnoticed on motorcycles, the new Gas Gas model has undergone a redistribution of masses. A change aimed at further increasing its stability to tackle the most unlikely obstacles and perform turns in ever smaller spaces, as trials currently demand, both indoor and outdoor.
The new Gas Gas models rely on the compromise between rigidity and flexibility of their chromoly steel tubular chassis to remain the lightest motorcycles on the market. Their new mass distribution has meant a readjustment of the center of gravity. A commitment that, combined with the evolved front end and the confidence of Michelin tyres on all types of terrain, provides greater stability to this new batch of Gas Gas TXT Racing E4.
Highlights reinforced by the work of the R&D department of the Girona factory, focused on refining the suspension system, renewed at the front with a new spring and a new setting in its Tech fork, and also at the rear, where it incorporates the quality and reliability of the Reiger 2V shock absorber, with a new setting and bump stop. Changes that provide greater stability to the whole of the new Gas Gas TXT Racing E4, also thanks to the incorporation of a new braided hose, and the modification of the clutch cover and spring, offering an exquisite, smooth, durable feel with better traction.
Powered by two-stroke engines of 125, 250, 280 and 300 cubic centimetres, this new version features a black cylinder head and remains faithful to the performance of the Keihin carburettor and the double-spark ignition system. Designed for the wide range of trials riders at all levels, the new TXT Racing E4 fit a new LED headlight, with new mounting brackets, capable of delivering 600 lumens. A very practical novelty when, after a ride or training session, night falls and we still have to head home or reach the car to load our bike onto the trailer.
In keeping with the racing aesthetic, all Gas Gas TXT Racing E4 models sport a new and bold look, where black predominates over the brand’s iconic red and white throughout its more than three decades of history.
A made-to-measure interior renewal that is also reflected in the exterior appearance of the flagship of the Salt factory: the new Gas Gas TXT Racing E4, the essence of balance, control and feel in trials.
