Garry McCoy will be the rider for FB Corse in MotoGP 2010

The latest addition to the MotoGP World Championship so far is Garry McCoy, who will ride for the FB Corse team in the 2010 season. As a result, John Hopkins is removed from the list of possible candidates and will ultimately take part in the AMA SBK with the M4 Suzuki team.

FB Corse has confirmed the Australian for this season. Until now, it was almost taken for granted that the chosen rider would be Hopkins, but in the end the rider himself decided to compete in the AMA SBK, so the seat was left vacant.

After thinking and searching, the team has opted for the experience and seasoned know-how of McCoy, who a few weeks ago found himself without a team after being dropped from the Supersport World Championship by his Triumph team. However, that memory will not dampen the rider’s spirits, as he is very enthusiastic.

Although the Australian will not have an easy time, since competing in MotoGP is demanding, he will also have to develop the FB01 of the FB Corse team, so he will have to work harder than everyone else.

It is a great pleasure to have the opportunity to return to MotoGP. I know almost nothing about the team, but from what I have seen, it seems really good to me. The bike is still under development, which will surely be hard work, but also very stimulating.
