Cervantes and Guerrero tied after the 3rd round of the Spanish Enduro Championship
The Spanish Enduro Championship held its third points-scoring round in Valverde del Camino, with two very intense days across all categories and several Spanish riders as the main protagonists.
Enduro riders faced off last weekend in the Spanish National Enduro Championship round in Valverde del Camino, where Cristóbal Guerrero and Iván Cervantes remain the dominant forces, sharing the victories across the two days of competition.
This round was the third points-scoring round of the national championship for the Spanish Enduro Championship, so the Gas Gas and KTM riders continue their own battle. On the first day, in the rain, Cervantes was the best in E2 and in the Scratch classification, leaving Guerrero behind. On Sunday, the tables turned, and this time it was Guerrero who took the win, leaving Cervantes in second place.
Third place on Saturday went to Marc Solà, while on Sunday it went to Armand Monleón, both riding a KTM in the E2 category.
In the E3 category, the dominant rider was Joakim Ljunggren on his Husaberg, who dominated both days of the category and took third place in Scratch. Meanwhile, Aaron Bernárdez on a KTM and Catalan rider Oriol Mena on a Husaberg shared second place on both days, and Juan Pérez de la Torre returned to action at home with two very positive third-place finishes.
In the E1 category, the best rider was Lorenzo Santolino on his Husqvarna, who achieved a very positive double in two days with many rivals. Meanwhile, Mario Román’s return to competition was not bad at all on his KTM, taking fourth place on Saturday and second on Sunday. Rider Gonçalo Cardoso of Gas Gas took second place on Saturday, behind Santolino, and third place on Sunday, while Arnau Solà on his Yamaha finished third on Saturday and fourth on Sunday. The rider who did not have a good few days was Víctor Guerrero, who had to retire on both days due to mechanical problems with his KTM.
As for the Junior Open, the best was Alfredo Gómez on his Husaberg, who amazed everyone and won both days in great style, leaving Kirian Mirabet on the KTM and Ramon Quer on the Sherco behind him, while Jesús Pedrajas on the Husaberg was third on both days in Valverde.
