Casey Stoner: "I'm eager to get back to work with my team"
Today the rider Casey Stoner wrote on his personal blog, after a magical week with his family, and just before starting the second MotoGP World Championship test at the Sepang circuit.
Rider Casey Stoner wrote today on his personal Repsol blog to share his arrival in Malaysia, and also these first weeks and feelings as a father, undoubtedly a new adventure that has excited the 2011 MotoGP World Champion.
After a wonderful week at home with Adri and Ally, I’ve just returned to Sepang for the second test sessions.
These days have been very special for the Australian rider, his whole family is excited and very happy, but now the time has come to get back to work and be apart from his two women for a few days, time to climb back onto the Honda RC213V to prepare for the 2012 season.
This last week has been a delight. Ally is eating and sleeping well, but we don’t want to declare victory too soon. It seems we now have a perfect little girl! Adri and I have enjoyed these days to the full, getting to know our little one and sharing little moments with her, such as her first experience of hiccups.
Besides the time with the baby, I’ve also spent hours with my fitness trainer working on several things. My friends at GoPro sent me Christmas gifts late, and I’ve finally been able to mount the cameras on my bike and helmet! The quality is amazing, and I’m already looking forward to mounting them on the go-karts this summer.
As you can see, he’s a very proud dad, but as he also comments, he’s also preparing physically for the start of the season. The traffic lights in Qatar are getting closer, so he can’t stand still, since his rivals keep working and getting up to speed, all of them ready to take the crown of the top category from him.
The Australian is already in Sepang, where from tomorrow the second official test sessions of the MotoGP World Championship will be held, and where the Australian arrives as the dominator of the first test, eager to continue being the fastest, but first he’ll have to see how his machine evolves.
I got up early yesterday to catch the plane to Sepang, where I’m already here for the second tests. The first week of testing went very well for us, and I’m eager to get back to work with my team.
Today I’ll be at the circuit for most of the day, then I’ll go to Kuala Lumpur to do some shopping, maybe something for my girls, and try to beat the jet lag. I’ll go to bed at local time to try to be 100% ready for tomorrow’s first session.
As if that weren’t enough, Stoner gave us great news: he officially announced that he’s fully joining social networks. After creating this personal blog, we can now also follow the world champion on Twitter @Official_CS27, although he confirms we shouldn’t expect many tweets, but he’ll keep updating.
Welcome to Twitter, Stoner, and good luck for Sepang 2 test.
