Carmelo Morales takes pole position in Moto2 at Albacete
Tomorrow we will see another battle between the two riders of Team Laglisse, who are tied on points in the CEV overall standings. Without a doubt, both Morales and Torres are favourites. Let's see how the fifth round of the Stock Extreme goes.
The fifth round of the Spanish Speed Championship, currently being held this weekend at the Albacete circuit, has given us a new pole for the Team Laglisse rider. Alongside him will start his teammate, Jordi Torres, which promises us a new battle between the two riders for tomorrow’s race.
In third place will start Román Ramos, from Arguiñano Racing. Behind them will line up on the second row Isaac Viñales, Arturo Tizón and Adrian Bonastre.
None of the first 7 riders have been able to go faster than in the first practice session of the day, so their morning times are the ones that have set the starting grid for the race.
Elena Rosell, who is taking part in this race with the Team Laglisse squad, within a separate structure (Mapfre Powerade Laglisse), has qualified 21st, which means she has not adapted well to the Suter Moto2. We saw Elena riding several laps behind Carmelo Morales, but it seems that was not enough to improve her grid position, although she did manage to lower her morning time, something many riders have not managed to do.
Tomorrow the race will take place at 11:15, under what is expected to be scorching heat, which we have experienced first-hand here at the Albacete circuit.
