Aspar team presentation in Madrid

Last night was the presentation of the Aspar team at the C.C. Moda Shopping in Madrid, where we were able to see the six riders who will compete in the three categories of the world speed championship.

Last night, in Madrid, the presentation of the six riders who will defend the colours of the Aspar team in the three categories of the world speed championship, which kicks off on 8 April at the Qatar circuit.

Héctor Faubel and Alberto Moncayo in Moto3, Toni Elías and Nico Terol in Moto2, and Randy de Puniet and Aleix Espargaró in MotoGP, are the chosen riders of what is undoubtedly one of the largest structures in the championship, with real chances of winning two titles and, in the case of MotoGP, being the first CRT.

The evening was hosted by Mela Chercoles and Stefanie Przybisch, who interspersed videos from the three categories explaining what the bikes are like, with interviews with the riders and the main sponsors of each category, Bankia in Moto3, Mapfre in Moto2 and Power Electronics in MotoGP.

We also saw for the first time the colours of the three bikes, the Kalex-KTM in Moto3, the Suter in Moto2 and the ART in MotoGP, all previously presented by Jorge Martínez Aspar, the team director, who thanked the efforts of the sponsors and committed to continuing the work he has been doing for so many years to keep maintaining the successes of recent seasons.

Statements by Jorge Martínez Aspar:

Once again I feel extremely proud to be here, in Madrid, presenting the Aspar Team. Each season we set ourselves higher challenges and year after year we meet our objectives. Last year, for instance, we became world champions in the 125cc class once again. I am pleased to see that we keep growing and that the foundation of our team is excellent.

I also love to see that our relationship with most of our sponsors goes back a long way, a sign that all the members of this great family are very satisfied with the union. BANKIA, MAPFRE and all the others, to whom we have given so many joys. People and companies who support us unconditionally; without them this project would not be sustainable, and I can only thank them for their efforts in standing by our side.

This year we will also have the collaboration of POWER ELECTRONICS, a Valencian multinational that has blind faith in our possibilities. I want to welcome them and assure them that we will keep working to offer them our best results. And I hope this new union will be as long-lasting as the others.

In Moto3 we have a challenge: to be the best once again. In Moto2 we have a duo of world champions who will fight for the very top, and in MotoGP we have a great challenge ahead: to be the best in the new concept of the top category.
