Anthony West replaces Cudlin at QMMF Racing Moto2

Rider Anthony West will be the big last-minute news in the Motorcycle World Championship, since yesterday the QMMF team announced his signing for the Moto2 category together with Elena Rosell, which left Damian Cudlin out of the team for 2012.

The team from the Qatari Federation has made three rider changes in just a few weeks: first was the arrival of Elena Rosell as a rider for the world championship, then the departure of Ricky Cardús, their rider in 2011, and the entry of Cudlin, and now, just one week before the start of the season, they announce the swap of Australians: Cudlin leaves and West comes in.

For West it has been great news, since after his farewell to the MotoGP category due to a lack of sponsors, and his move to the British Superbike Championship, he now returns to what had been his home, the intermediate category, with QMMF and Moriwaki,

I am very eager for this opportunity and I will push to the maximum to achieve the best possible results.

My goal has always been the motorcycle World Championship. I am sorry for my team BMW Supersonic, who gave me the opportunity to continue my career, and at the same time I am happy because they have understood my decision and wish me the best for this season.

The explanations about this change are minimal from the team. It has been communicated that during pre-season Cudlin did not get on well with the bike, with no feeling and without achieving competitive lap times. However, rumors quickly emerged that the Australian had been left without sponsors, and that the problem seen most often in 2012 would recur: the lack of a sponsor.
