Álvaro Bautista is eager to get to Mugello, a track he loves
The Rizla Suzuki team arrives at Mugello after the race at Assen, very eager to overcome the problems at this eighth round of the MotoGP World Championship calendar on the Italian track.
Álvaro Bautista wants to keep progressing and solve the grip problems he had in the seventh race of the season at the Cathedral of motorcycle racing, so he will have to work to the maximum at Mugello.
Luckily, the Italian track has the warmest asphalt, and the resurfacing may also help him solve these grip issues at the rear, allowing him to be more competitive in the race; furthermore, Bautista knows the track very well and won the 2007 250cc race there.
Below you can see the statements from Álvaro Bautista:
I love Mugello, it’s very fast and a lot of fun to ride there. I have many good memories because that’s where I won my first 250cc race in 2007, and then I have stood on the podium a couple more times.
Last year I was carrying a shoulder injury, but this time I arrive at 100% and with the motivation to do it well. The track has new asphalt and I hope that warmer weather will also help us make our bike a more competitive machine.
We are all pushing in one single direction; the entire team deserves for luck to be on our side so we can start moving forward for real.
