Aleix Espargaró will present the new Moto2 prototype with the 2010 configuration in Albacete

Rider Aleix Espargaró will have a Moto2 with the 2010 technical configuration in Albacete. The picture for Espargaró seems to have changed: having been left out of the World Championship, he now has double the work, on the one hand continuing with the Moto2 in the CEV and, on the other, the replacement he has made for Nemeth in the 250cc World Championship.

These circumstances are described by the rider himself:

That’s right. As Ángel Nieto used to tell me, from unemployment to holding several jobs. I was left without a ride for this year, but I kept training so I could take advantage of the slightest opportunity that came up.

Dani Devahive called me for his Moto2 project, in which I have placed a lot of hope, and shortly after the option of the 250 World Championship came up.

His performance in the CEV is enviable: at Jerez he set some very good lap times, although later in the race he had to retire after a crash. That progression continued at Valencia, where he finished the Extreme/Moto2 race in fifth place. Now comes a period of intense work, since the Catalan and Promoracing are going to present the Moto2 prototype in Albacete.

Below you can see Espargaró’s statements:

The team has been in England and work is already underway on the new chassis to which the Honda CBR 600 RR engine will be fitted. I don’t think the bike will change much, but it will be important because we will already start working on the bike with the definitive configuration for the 2010 World Championship.

The Granollers rider has his future for 2010 clear: to race in the Moto2 CEV:

Very grateful to Dani and his team, since they trusted me and gave me this opportunity. But we all know this world turns many times over, and you should never close any doors.

We will keep an eye on Moto2.
