Yonny Hernández will not race in Malaysia due to injury

Rider Yonny Hernández will ultimately not take part in the MotoGP World Championship round at the Sepang Circuit, as the Colombian is still suffering from his collarbone injury, so both the doctors and the team have advised him to rest and not push himself.

Today it was confirmed that rider Yonny Hernández of the MotoGP World Championship will not take part in the round of the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang Circuit due to injury, so the Avintia Blusens rider will ultimately be unable to race in the 16th round of the season.

So the decision by Yonny and his team was officially announced after the discomfort and pain the Colombian experienced after completing the first two free practice sessions in Sepang yesterday. There is no doubt that this left shoulder dislocation has not allowed him to continue in action.

Before the Grand Prix, there had already been talk of this possible withdrawal by Hernández, as the injury he suffered in Japan is complicated and very recent, so they have decided not to force it and to arrive in better condition for the next round in Australia and the final race in Valencia. Now the priority is recovery and starting to think about the next round at the Phillip Island circuit.

A good decision if the problems with the left shoulder dislocation could get worse. He did not take to the track for Free Practice 3 this morning either, and in the end it was decided that it is better to take a break and wait for the injury to heal, be rehabilitated and return to normal.

The rider himself has confirmed that on October 31 he will go under the knife to fix this injury to the collarbone area, and he hopes to be ready for the Valencia round.

Get well soon, Yonny.
