Tribute to Marc Márquez and Toni Elías at the FMX Masters Barcelona
The 125cc and Moto2 World Champions, namely Marc Márquez and Toni Elías, were present at the spectacular FMX Masters Barcelona last Sunday, where, besides enjoying the best Freestyle riders in the world, they also received a tribute from the Palau Sant Jordi, which gave them a standing ovation.
The two Catalans have capped off an incredible season in their respective categories, both claiming titles in a spectacular year for our riders in the World Motorcycle Championship. As luck would have it, both are also switching engine capacities next season, so we’ll get to see them battling it out in Moto2 and MotoGP.
During the break from the intense show the riders were putting on on the Palau Sant Jordi track, a lovely tribute was paid to the two Champions, who were applauded and congratulated by nearly 12,000 people, undoubtedly another demonstration of all the support and fans they have.
After that tribute, they returned to their seats to enjoy the best Freestyle in the World live. In the gallery section you can see some photos of the event and the tribute, although the quality isn’t very good.
We’ll keep a close eye on FMX Barcelona.
