Toprak Razgatlioglu dominates race 1 of the Superbike World Championship at Magny-Cours
Rider Toprak Razgatlioglu has won race 1 of the Superbike World Championship at the Magny-Cours Circuit

The Superbike World Championship lines up for race 1 of the weekend at the Magny-Cours Circuit, so the time has come for action on the French track of this intense and exciting championship.
The start was good for Jonathan Rea, although Razgatlioglu managed to overtake the Kawasaki rider in the first few meters, though the number 1 soon moved ahead of the Turkish rider again, who was blocked by Lowes, watching as Rea managed to open up some distance on them.
With 18 laps to go, Toprak managed to overtake Rea and take the lead of the race. For several laps he tried to keep up the pace of the Yamaha rider, but with 11 laps left to the end, we saw Jonathan could no longer keep up and settled for second place in the race. We also saw the fall of Alex Lowes near the end of the event, a shame for the 22 who was having a great race, and of Scott Redding, so two favourites ended up on the ground.
Finally, victory went to Toprak, who dominated the race on the French track. No one could keep up with the pace set by the Turkish rider and his Yamaha. Rea finished 2nd, settling for this position as he could not follow Toprak, and Locatelli completed the podium with a good result. The top 10 was completed by Rinaldi, VDMark, Bautista, Davies, Bassani, Sykes and Haslam. With this result, Toprak leads the championship with a 5-point advantage over Rea.
On to the next race.
