Toni Bou wins the World Trial Championship round in Italy
Rider Toni Bou has taken victory at the World Trial Grand Prix in Italy, where he finished ahead of Adam Raga and Takahisa Fujinami in a demanding event with several sections that caused plenty of headaches for the competitors.

Despite the most demanding sections, Bou managed to be the best with a total of 43 points, while his closest rival finished 24 points behind, so it was a tough day for everyone, and Bou came out on top. He was also very happy because the new Cota 4RT had been presented on Saturday.
Behind him, Adam Raga on the Gas Gas fought with everything to get within reach of Bou, but today it was not possible, so he chose not to take risks in the final minutes and kept second place, which leaves him just 5 points behind Bou in the overall standings. Takahisa Fujinami completed the podium, rounding off a positive weekend for Repsol Montesa Honda. The top five was completed by Fajardo in 4th and Cabestany in 5th.
In the overall standings we now have Bou in 1st, with a 5-point lead over Raga in 2nd. Without a doubt, maximum excitement in this fight for the World Trial title. The ninth scoring round of the World Trial Championship will take place next Sunday, 14 July, in Kramolin (Czech Republic).
Statements from Toni Bou:
It has been a great weekend: yesterday with the presentation of the new Cota 4RT and today with this new victory, my third in a row, and with my teammate on the podium. I arrived in Italy two points ahead as the world championship leader and I leave with five. It was a demanding round, the kind I enjoy, with three very difficult sections that had a decisive impact on the result. I wish the rounds ahead had the same level of difficulty, but I’m sure there will be some easier ones that will make us suffer.
Statements from Adam Raga:
I’m happy. Trial was not easy at all, and the sections were single-line: pass or fail, zero or five. You had to be very careful, and I think the final result is very good. I’m still feeling very good in terms of form and technique.
With five rounds left to finish the world championship season, many things can still happen.
