Today the MotoGP CRT and Ducati test starts at Jerez

The riders of the MotoGP CRT World Championship will train from today until Wednesday at the Jerez circuit, although they will not be alone, as Ducati will also carry out tests at the Andalusian track.

The Jerez Circuit never rests. After the IRTA training sessions for the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships held last week, another major moment arrives: seeing the MotoGP CRT machines training at the Andalusian track. The new bikes of the premier class will not be alone, since Ducati will also take part in the tests.

A few weeks ago it was confirmed that several CRT teams and riders would follow a pre-season schedule different from the usual MotoGP one, preferring to train at circuits closer to home. So today they will take to the track after their work in Valencia, although they will have Ducati breathing down their necks.

From today until Wednesday, the Andalusian track welcomes the CRT bikes taking part in these tests, as well as the red machines of Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi. Furthermore, it is at this test that Héctor Barberá would work with the GP12, replacing number 69, who is still recovering from his injury, so our number 8 could be the one in charge of fine-tuning the bike ahead of next season.

Everything is ready to open the throttle and keep fine-tuning all the machines. Now we only need to find out which riders will be on the GP12 at Jerez. In principle it will be Battaini, but we don’t know whether there will be two or just one, or what finally happens with the rumour that is so strong about seeing the number 8 on Hayden’s Desmosedici.

At this test we will see how the MotoGP CRT bikes have evolved since the last test, so it is time to keep evaluating the novelties for 2012.
