The Spanish Minibike Championship Cup kicks off this weekend in Campillos, in Málaga, so the youngest riders start the 2019 season eager for action. Once again, it will be the championship where many riders emerge who, within a few years, will make the leap to something bigger.
The number of entries is very high, so the national talent pool is booming, and we will also see riders from several regions, such as Madrid, the Valencian Community, Catalonia, Andalusia, Galicia, among others. The categories called for 2019 are: Minimotos 4.2, Mini GP70 2T, Mini GP110 4T, Moto5 and Open190 4T.
The calendar for 2019 is scheduled with the following races, on April 27 and 28 in Campillos, Málaga; then May 18 and 19 in Guadassuar, Valencia; continuing in Zuera on June 22 and 23, and closing in Recas, Toledo, on September 14 and 15.
Right now there are around 80 riders registered, so the heats promise to be thrilling. Timed practice starts at 09:00 with two sessions for each category. The start light will not go out until 11:56, giving the first heat of the day its start. There will also be two heats per class, so the excitement is guaranteed on track until 15:30.
