Red Bull Rookies Cup

The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup will be in action at Assen

The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup returns to action at the Assen Circuit, so we'll have more battles between motorcycling's young talents on one of the most legendary tracks.

This week, alongside the Motorcycle World Championship at the Assen Circuit, we’ll also have motorcycling’s young talents in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup going full throttle on the legendary Dutch track, so we have races 7 and 8 of the season ahead of us, following those held at the British track of Silverstone.

We are in for very exciting Rookies Cup races, as always whenever they hit the track. These small motorcycling promises are delivering group races, with overtakes and plenty of spectacle, great very young riders with strong progression. For now, the German rider Philipp Oettl leads the overall standings, two points ahead of his main rival, Scott Deroue.

Although they are not alone in this game, as many riders can enter and put up a fight, including Florian Alt, who is only 6 points behind the leader in the overall standings and who took victory in the first race at Silverstone, so there is plenty of excitement.

As for our representatives, they all arrive with great enthusiasm and strength. Currently Marcos Ramírez, the CEV rider, is the best placed of ours in 9th position overall, followed from 10th place by Diego Pérez, while further back in 12th is Jorge Martín and Aaron España is 15th.

First we’ll have the Rookies Cup practice sessions on Thursday, leading into the first race on Friday, and the second race appears to be on Sunday at 15:30, and we remind you that the races can be watched live via their official website.

Don’t miss motorcycling’s young talents, note down their names and enjoy our riders, their work and their evolution race by race.
