The new SYM Symphony ST creates a higher class among urban scooters

The brand SYM keeps its Symphony scooter range very much in mind, since it is the Taiwanese brand’s best-selling model, and the ST belongs to a new category, being a completely new vehicle in terms of design, ergonomics, technology, safety and richness of equipment.
The new scooter is characterized by its generous proportions and a state-of-the-art engine. Besides having increased its performance, its greater level of comfort, the quality of its components, the good taste in design and details, as well as its new safety features –such as the new brake set or the side stand disconnection system– place the ST at a higher level than other competitors with higher prices.
Besides a very attractive design, the Symphony ST stands out for its new state-of-the-art engine, with which the engineers, in addition to improving its performance, have focused their objectives on the best possible energy efficiency and the maximum reduction of emission levels. It is a 124.6 cc single-cylinder engine with four-stroke valve timing. Its performance is a maximum power of 7.5 kW (10 HP) at 8,500 rpm, and a torque of 8.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Fuel consumption is rated at 38.8 km per liter of fuel.
The new SYM Symphony ST, which sits above the other Symphony S, Symphony S LX and Symphony SR Top versions, inherits the DNA of a best-selling series in our market. Besides being compatible for riding with a car B driving license, it is characterized by its “tall” 16-inch wheels, which provide more safety, and by its large-diameter disc brakes. They measure 260 mm in diameter at the front, while the rear brake is 240 mm in diameter, which is more than enough for the rear axle. Other advantages are the flat floor, folding rear footrests, central locking and its space for a “full size” helmet under the seat.
The Symphony ST includes “quality” details. It is the first in its category to incorporate a series of LED lighting devices. It stands out for its new “Dual LCD” analog and digital instrumentation, which allows the speedometer dial to be converted into a tachometer, and vice versa, with a simple button press. At the same time, two large digits complement the information from the analog clock.
The cargo capacity is really well resolved. Besides the space for a full-face helmet already mentioned, we have a front glove box –with lock and USB power outlet–, a bag hook and a new rear rack, with a non-slip surface and very well integrated into the design. The ST incorporates solid counterweights on the handlebar ends and, as on all SYM models, it has a practical anti-theft power switch under the seat. Another new element of its equipment is the engine disconnection system, in case the side stand is kept deployed.
The SYM Symphony ST 125 is already on sale at the SYM dealer network in Spain, with a launch price of 2,199 euros, VAT and transport included (mainland Spain and the Balearics), which as a promotion includes a 5-year warranty extension offered by SYM Spain. The available colors are white, black and bronze.
