The 24 Hours of Resistance of the Vall del Tenes after the night

The night has already passed at the 24 Hours of Resistance of the Vall del Tenes, with some twists, since after a problem Honda Vico has been relegated to the back of the field, while the Espargaró team keeps fighting.

Yesterday the 24 Hours of Resistance on Mopeds of the Vall del Tenes got underway. Specifically at 19:00 the start of this spectacular race was given, and the pole-sitting team was Team Honda Vico-Auto WIC Auto, made up of Javi Vico, Miralles, Riera and Roig.

Behind them started the Taller Pelayo team (Inno-Mold), made up of Luengo, Ibáñez, Rodríguez and Dalmau, while the Motors-1 Andratx team, made up of Jofre, Pons, Munar and Melis, took up position to close the front positions; meanwhile, the team with which the MotoGP World Championship rider Aleix Espargaró takes part started from 6th position, in one of those legendary Le Mans-style starts.

After the start, the Taller Pelayo team (Inno-Mold) moved into 1st, overtaking Javi Vico’s team, which finished second and attacked the leader. Without a doubt, a beautiful and intense battle in the first corners, with some incidents during the start such as crashes and mechanical problems, leaving some teams relegated to the back of the overall and class standings.

With the race underway we were treated to plenty of action on the track, a magnificent circuit with jumps, fast sections, a bridge and corners that the participants have really enjoyed. The hours went by and after the first two hours we had the Taller Pelayo (Inno-Mold) team leading, with Vico’s team behind, followed by Sis Racing’s Sis and, in fourth place, Espargaró’s GCR41.

The night arrived at the track and it was time to switch on the lights, and to face more problems with visibility, so pure spectacle for all the fans who came to the circuit for this 33rd edition. At that point Vico’s team took first place, alternating with Sis Racing’s Sis and several other teams.

By morning there had been some changes, since Vico’s team suffered a major setback: when they were leading, they broke the gearbox on their machine and lost a great many positions. We will see how far they can recover after an hour and a half stopped in the pit box repairing the failure. A pity about this problem for team 17. Meanwhile, the Taller Pelayo (Inno Mold) team dominates, but with the CIRCUIT MX YASUNI team close behind, less than three tenths of a second. For its part, the Espargaró team is 4th, two laps behind the leader, but several hours remain and anything can happen in the Vall del Tenes.

After this report the next one will be the definitive one with the winner, so more than 6 hours of pure excitement remain, don’t miss it.
