Thanks to TVE for these years of motorcycle racing

RTVE is covering the last Grand Prix it will broadcast, since, as we recall, in 2012 the rights to the MotoGP World Championship will belong to Telecinco. So before closing the book on these years, I wanted to dedicate a few words to the great effort of the entire TVE team.

Before the 2011 motorcycle racing World Championship season comes to an end, I would like to dedicate a few words to RTVE, since this will be its last Grand Prix of the world championship as a broadcasting team, because from 2012 the rights will pass to Telecinco, and I think it is best to dedicate a few words to them before saying goodbye.

After thirty years as the reference for motorcycle racing in our country, they have made several generations become passionate about this two-wheeled sport, and become fans of a sport that has gradually carved out a large space for itself in Spain.

Right now, with 4 Grand Prix events, thousands of fans filling the circuits, and top-level riders, mechanics, teams, managers and journalists, TVE has undoubtedly set the standard, has encouraged this path, has opened the door to motorcycle racing for many years, and now it is their turn to say goodbye after a complicated season, with nostalgia, sad and emotional moments, and in a mood of remembrance.

During these seasons the public channel has been renewing itself, with new faces, new commentators, more technology, more travel, greater coverage and a great deal of humanity in order to reach viewers in the best possible way.

I know that many have criticized TVE and its broadcasts, or specifically the journalists, commentators and employees of the channel. That depends on each person’s tastes, but what cannot be denied is the work they have been doing over these 30 years, and which they have now left as the on-screen face of Ernest Riveras, Marc Martín, Izaskun Ruíz, Álex Crivillé, Angel Nieto and Dennis Noyes, among others.

Without a doubt, this will be a difficult goodbye. It will be a see-you-later to a great team that has fought to bring us the best motorcycle racing into our homes at every Grand Prix and season, and that has kept us informed about everything happening in the World Championship and the other two-wheeled competitions.

It is a difficult see-you-later for all the fans, for those who grew up with motorcycles on La1… but the time has come, and we must discover another way of working. Those we cannot yet criticize, as I have seen on some pages, should always be given a chance; we will see what happens later and what we passionate riders do.

Thank you for everything to the RTVE team, for being professionals and for these years full of motorsport. Thanks from this humble blog and on behalf of its members.

  1. Me uno a la felicitación. Completamente de acuerdo contigo. TVE ha ido creciendo con las motos al igual que nosotros. Por supuesto que han cometido errores, ¿no los cometemos todos? pero de esos errores han ido aprendiendo hasta el punto de tener un seguimiento y unas retransmisiones que son la envidia de cualquier pais. Horas y horas de contenido que nos han hecho vibrar, emocionarnos, cabrearnos, reir, llorar… todo un cúmulo de sensaciones. Y por todo eso yo tambien quiero dar las gracias a TVE por haber estado ahí en todo momento.

    Nos espera un cambio, y tal y como dices, es pronto para opinar. El listón está muy alto pero hay que dar ese voto de confianza, sobre todo porque es nuestra pasión de lo que estamos hablando y por supuesto queremos lo mejor. Espero disfrutar de las retransmisiones en Tele 5 ¿o será en Cuatro, ahora que pertenece a la cadena del 5?.

      Estoy de acuerdo con tus palabras 🙂
      Respecto a cuatro, aún no lo puedo confirmar, pero quizás hagan las carreras en t5 y los libres en cuatro/fdf/lasiete.
      No creo que tarden mucho en hablar sobre la programación 2012.

  2. Como en muchas ocasiones el equipo de plusmoto se ha lucido. Felicitaciones por el artículo y como el amigo que arriba escribe no me queda más remido que sumarme a este bonito adios que le dais al equipo de RTVE.

    Siempre que hay un cambio es en cierto modo un problema aunque he de reconocer que soy una persona activa que quiere cambios, aunque normalmente en las cosas que se hacen mal y la verdad ahora mismo eso no pasaba. El equipo actual de Rtve, con sus pros y sus contras hacian un gran trabajo.

    El final de una temporada siempre se hace duro, los fichajes, cambios de reglamentos, cambios en equipos y categorias… una locura y ahora tendremos que ver porque equipo ficha Ángel Nieto o Crivi y que harán Ernest y Marc o Izaskun jajaja, yo les veo en una Honda! 😛

      Primero gracias por tus palabras de felicitación 🙂
      Y estoy de acuerdo el equipo de RTVE estaba haciendo un gran trabajo, todo el mundo tiene errores, pero sin duda han hecho un trabajo de lujo durante todos estos años, y ahora nos toca cambiar y esperar que pasará.

      En principio sólo está confirmado Noyes en t5 y F.Nieto, el resto en breve, aunque Marc Martín lo ha dicho claro, él se queda en tve, ya veremos que hacen el resto.

  3. gracias y espero que hasta pronto,ya que vuestro trabajo no creo que lo superen,estos de telecinco. ya lo demostraron con el campeonato de superbike.grandes y tristes momentos tengo en el recuerdo gracias a vuestro trabajo.muchas gracias de nuevo,suerte y uves

      TVE ha hecho un gran trabajo, de lujo a mi parecer, con malos y buenos momentos, y creciendo poco a poco, pero ahora nos toca cambio, y deseo y espero que no pase como con las superbikes, porque fue horrible el trato… pero antes de criticar a T5 me gustaría ver alguna retransmión antes.
