Teledeporte could broadcast the 2013 Superbike World Championship

Today we bring good news about the Superbike World Championship. It seems the negotiations to watch this championship in our country are very advanced and, although NOTHING IS CONFIRMED YET, everything points to us being able to watch this World Championship on Teledeporte. But, as I say, until it is confirmed we cannot take it for granted. Still, seeing our Carlos Checa, David Salom and Nacho Calero in action would undoubtedly be one of the biggest news items of the season, and of course the rest of the favourites too: Baldolini, Sofuoglu and Foret in SSP; and Sykes, Melandri, Laverty and company in SBK.

[CONFIRMED: TDP WILL HAVE SBK with Marc Martín, Joan Lascorz and Rubén Xaus as commentators] Today has been a very particular day for the Superbike World Championship. Setting aside the private training sessions at Phillip Island and the injured riders in this test, today we have good news, although it has not yet been fully confirmed, so we must wait for the official announcement from the parties involved.

Many of you are asking about the broadcast of the Superbikes in Spain, since after the last season with Telecinco we have not had the chance to watch this World Championship free-to-air in our homes again. However, the rumours about 2013 have started flying again, and although there is no official confirmation, it seems that this season we will indeed be able to follow this interesting, exciting and edge-of-your-seat World Championship on television, specifically on Teledeporte.

In principle, everything points to a team of experts to commentate on the championship, including Marc Martín, one of the two-wheel specialists who during these days has been giving us his take on the pre-season build-up to the 2013 SBK season. Apparently they have everything fairly well sealed, based on what has been “learned”, and although, as I say, we shouldn’t get our hopes up until it is officially confirmed, everything seems to be progressing in the right direction.

Everyone is really looking forward to watching this championship on free-to-air television and in good quality. For now, though, we will have to wait for it to be made official, or for it all to remain mere rumours. The only “catch” I see is that we are barely less than a week away from the start of the season and so far there has not been much talk about this possibility. Nerves!

Here is the conversation:

@ernestriveras: To everyone asking me about SBK on @teledeporte: ask @marcmartintw. But I think the matter is at 99.9%!
@marcmartintw: Dear @ErnestRiveras, I consider 99.9% to be -somewhat- excessive. Personally I would put it at 99.1%
@ernestriveras: OK! I’ll add that within that 99.1%, you have the technical commentators confirmed at 100%. And when the names are known… they’re going to freak out!
@marcmartintw: Buffffffff, mate, stop poking me, I can’t talk. You’re driving me crazy (in a good way). #tictac

What do you think?

  1. Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!
