Rossi returns to Yamaha with 6 members of his technical team
Rider Valentino Rossi has confirmed that in his new adventure for the 2013 MotoGP World Championship he will continue to be accompanied by part of his current technical team, including his right-hand man, Jerry Burgess, who is returning to Yamaha after his stint at Ducati over these two seasons in the premier class.
Everything pointed to this being the case, and that Rossi’s team would return with him to Yamaha. It seems that, specifically, five people would be with him at the Japanese brand, coming back from the Italian one. Therefore, from the end of the Valencian Community Grand Prix, and with an eye on the post-race test at Cheste, we will already have the team returning to Yamaha and Rossi with his new machine.
The names of the people who are coming along on the return trip are Jerry Burgess, Alex Briggs, Brent Stephens, Bernie Ansiau, Gary Coleman and Matteo Flamigni. They will remain his trusted team, and with them everything will begin in earnest at this Valencia event.
It seems Rossi has it clear: he doesn’t want to let go of the people he has been working with for so long and who left with him on this new adventure, but who are now also returning with him to keep fighting for victories, podiums and good results, especially after these two very complicated seasons in the MotoGP World Championship.
Now we will have to be attentive on the day of the test after the last race of the season at the Cheste Circuit. They will surely have to study the evolution of the Yamaha in depth.
Looking ahead to 2013.
