Rossi and Hayden will continue working on their Ducatis in Brno
The Ducati riders, Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden, have spent these weeks of summer break at home, together with their friends and family. In addition, the 69 has taken part in an excursion to the Indianapolis circuit.
Hayden was at Indy on August 5 testing the track’s new asphalt, and also took part in some promotional events for the upcoming Grand Prix, encouraging all his compatriots to spend a great day at the circuit, watching the best of motorcycle racing on the track.
For his part, Rossi stayed at home, resting and working. The Italian is undoubtedly one of the kings of the Brno circuit, having achieved four podiums and seven victories across all categories, while his teammate Hayden has stood on the podium of the Czech track once. So it seems the Ducati team has good feelings about this circuit; we will see how they perform with the Desmosedici in action.
It has also been confirmed that they will not test the 1000cc in the test after next Monday’s race, but will instead work on the 800cc, on the GP11.1.
Below you can see the statements from Valentino Rossi:
After Laguna, I took a few days of vacation at the beach near my home. It was a short period, but enough to recharge my batteries and continue with more intensity.
Now we arrive at Brno, and truly, I am always very happy to go there. I like the track; it is very beautiful, wide and fast, and I have always gone well there, but also because it is where I achieved my first pole position, my first victory and my first championship.
During the weekend and the Monday test we are going to keep focusing on the motorcycle’s setup, with the aim of closing the gap to the front-runners.
