Pons 40 HP Tuenti team will file an appeal with the CDI
After being clearly harmed by the withdrawal of the penalty against Marc Márquez, the Pons team will file an appeal with the FIM's CDI tribunal
Following the incident in yesterday’s Moto2 race in which Marc Márquez and Pol Espargaró collided three laps from the end, which led to the Granollers rider crashing out, the Pons 40 HP Tuenti team has decided to file an appeal with the CDI Tribunal of the International Motorcycling Federation.
Yesterday, after the MotoGP race, Marc Márquez was handed a ex officio penalty by Race Direction of one minute, which cost him the podium and points, dropping him to 23rd place. Following the appeal by Marc’s team, the FIM revoked the penalty and left things as they were.
According to the press release from Pol’s team, their team has always accepted and respected the authority and decisions of Race Direction and the Safety Commission, which are the bodies that safeguard safety in the races of this championship and compliance with the FIM’s sporting regulations. That is why they feel obliged to defend the interests of their rider in his fight for the Moto2 title.
They believe that Espargaró was directly harmed by the on-track incident with Marc Márquez, as well as by the ruling issued by the FIM Stewards. Initially, Márquez was penalised ex officio for “rejoining the racing line without making sure there was no other rider, colliding with him, causing him to crash and potentially causing serious injury.”
A few hours later, that one-minute penalty was revoked, against the wishes of Race Direction and the Safety Commission, so the Pons 40 HP Tuenti team considers this to go against the criteria governing the World Motorcycling Championship and the safety regulations. Furthermore, it awards 16 points to a direct rival in the title fight, which is why they are forced to file an appeal with the FIM’s CDI Tribunal.

En este caso el equipo de Sito Pons tiene todo el derecho a realizar esta reclamación o recurso, así que pueden usar esta vía sin problemas, otra cosa es que les den la razón o no, pero al igual que el CatalunyaCaixa realizó la apelación ante la FIM, ahora pueden pedir la revisión de la decisión.
Todas las partes tienen su derecho a aportar su punto de vista, ahora tocará esperar para ver que pasa definitivamente.

No le encuentro sentido, la temporada es muy lara. Ya se que luego, al final, por un punto puedes llegar a ser campéon de la categoria, pero vamos, no me jodas. Sinceramente creo que Pons no es un buen ejemplo para Espargaró.

En este caso tiene el derecho de hacerlo, no te puedo decir los motivos porque los desconozco, pero están en todo su derecho de poder poner un recurso a la decisión de la FIM; sobre el resultado ya veremos.
Es un tema complicado, y sobretodo esperamos que no llegue a más allá…

Tu lo has dicho, es complicado, y de poder, no lo dudo; pero lo jodido es que llegué más allá. Y una rivalidad sana como era la de Marc y Pol ya no lo sea.
Un percance como muchos ocurren en la carreras, que se debería haber arreglado con un apretón de manos, el Pons monta el circo y la discordia. Muy mal ejemplo para Pol, si sigue con el Sito arruinara su carrera. PELIGROSO SR PONS ES QUE CORRA SU HIJO, ESE SI LA VA A LIAR PARDA EN ALGUNA DE SUS CIENTOS DE CAIDAS.
Sr Pons solicite también en su recurso que pongan intermitentes en la motos, limite de velocidad a 120 y radares en los circuitos ¡¡¡¡¡POR LA SEGURIDAD EHHHHH¡¡¡¡
