Nicky Hayden doesn't rule out the Ducati GP11.1
Rider Nicky Hayden tested the famous GP11.1 at the United States Grand Prix, but in the race he decided to go with the GP11 version, unlike his teammate Valentino Rossi, who has been riding the new evolution of the red bike for several races now.
Apparently, there are aspects of the GP11.1 that Hayden likes. In addition, he saw his teammate finish ahead of him at Laguna Seca, so something has improved with the new, somewhat hybrid version of the Ducati.
One of the aspects that the American likes most is the gearbox, but he didn’t want to take risks with the new machine at home, in front of his fans, and having barely gotten to know the bike.
Furthermore, the 69 has stated that he doesn’t rule out getting back on the GP11.1 in the future. He will probably keep testing it after Brno, and who knows, perhaps he will decide to switch to the new version.
