Spring has arrived and summer is just around the corner, so it’s time to prepare our bikes for long trips or short rides, to enjoy the curves and nature, but always respecting health restrictions and taking into account the conditions established in each area.

But before hitting the road, it’s time to tune up the bike, and start the maintenance of our bikes so we can travel with complete safety. So it’s time to get the bike off the stand and start carrying out maintenance on your machine. One of the first things to do is check the battery’s charge level and its condition, since motorcycle batteries don’t last that long, and they could give us a surprise after a period of being parked.

Then we’ll need to go over the caked-on and rusted dirt, if it has been parked for quite some time, but there’s no need to worry, since with a little patience, care and the right products, you’ll get it looking perfect again. If you have any doubts, you can find a wide range of products at faseba.com to clean and condition the affected parts.

The job isn’t finished yet, as we still need to thoroughly check the condition of the brakes, without a doubt one of the parts we must monitor most carefully, and if in doubt, leave it in the hands of professionals. Check the condition of the tyres and also their pressure so they are in the best possible condition. We also need to take a look at the chain, which should be properly aligned, lubricated and in good condition; and of course, we must never forget to keep an eye on the oil, coolant and brake fluid levels so we can enjoy the best riding experience.

The headlights, indicators and all of the bike’s lighting must work; they are essential for signalling during the ride and for maintaining good visibility while we cover mile after mile, so it’s time to test them and check that they work correctly so we can travel safely.

And finally, it’s time to review the mandatory vehicle documentation, the handlebars, the bike’s cleaning, the decoration and, of course, the clothing, depending on the type of trip. There are many more accessories that could be a great help to make your long-awaited motorcycle ride as comfortable as possible. Don’t miss the chance to take a look at a motorcycle accessories retailer, including the luggage or travel bags mounted on the bike, which will give you the option of carrying clothes and everything we need for our day-to-day on the trip.

The time has come to enjoy two wheels: it’s time to take a new ride in the best conditions, keep your bike in top shape and you’ll enjoy it for many years. Look after it, get the best accessories, and always consult industry professionals.

Enjoy every kilometre.
